Plot allocation

We have advised associations to carefully assess the risk of allocating plots. If it is possible to allocate plots on a one to one basis, adhering to social distancing rules, then it should be fine.  Any prospective tenant(s) will be given all the relevant safety information for the site, along with rules, fees, membership etc.  If secretaries feel this is not possible, they will let the individual(s) know, and explain that they will put your name(s) on their own waiting list and contact you in the near future when a plot becomes available.

Please remember to look out for one another during these very difficult times and take all the steps you can to reduce the risk of contagion from the Covid19 virus when you visit plots.  It is important that plot-holders, along with yourselves do not drop your guard and remember that those over 70 years of age, regardless of general health, are particularly vulnerable and should be limiting any contact with people outside of their household.

If you are planning to visit any of Newcastle's parks, please do so safely and responsibly.  Please refer to our website - www.urbangreennewcastle.org - for the latest guidance on visiting green spaces during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Urban Green Newcastle allotment sites are self-managed. Each site is run by an Association who elect a Committee to oversee the day to day running of their site, and also to maintain their own waiting list and sublet plots direct.

In the first instance, could we please ask you to complete the form below.

Once we have received you application, a member of the committee will be in touch in the near future.

Thank you for your continued support of Urban Green Newcastle at this very difficult time.  If you have any questions, please do get in touch
